$3150 donated to BPR in 2015!

Broken Promises Rescue (BPR) is a volunteer-run, non-profit animal rescue organization in Victoria, B.C.  They are a group of experienced rescuers who have united to improve the lives of unwanted, neglected, and orphaned animals on Vancouver Island and, when resources permit, in remote communities and elsewhere in B.C.

BPR tries to help the many pets in the shelter system considered less adoptable because of medical or behavioral problems or simply because their colors, age, or breeds are currently unpopular.  BPR believes that all animals deserve a life without pain, hunger, or loneliness. BPR wants them to know they are loved and cherished despite appearance, age, or medical condition.

BPR is also dedicated to raising awareness of animal suffering and to educating children and adults about the responsibilities of animal ownership.  BPR hopes to influence public opinion and mold a more compassionate future.  No animal should suffer through ignorance and indifference.

In Fall 2015, BPR was swamped with multiple litters of rescue puppies (and their moms)

  • A litter of Rottweiler puppies
  • 2 related litters of Shepherd mixes
  • A litter of starving Pit Bull puppies
  • A Pittie mom who needed emergency c-section. 3 puppies survived

We are are pleased to announce that BPR was the recipient of a Neüterhead grant for $3150 to help cover all the puppies’ spays and neuters!
